- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Heat a frying pan or griddle over medium heat and add butter to coat the surface.
- Dip each slice of Hawaiian roll into the egg mixture, coating both sides. Allow any excess liquid to drip off.
- Place the dipped rolls onto the heated pan or griddle. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and slightly crispy on the outside.
- Remove from the pan and serve immediately with maple syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
This Hawaiian Roll French Toast is rich and sweet, so no need for heavy toppings. A drizzle of syrup is perfect, but you can also top it with fresh fruit or whipped cream for extra indulgence!
