Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Electric mixer

Ingredients

For the Peanut Butter Cookies

  • 1 cup Jif Peanut Butter creamy or crunchy
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Press each cookie down slightly with a fork to create a crisscross pattern on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding chocolate chips or chopped peanuts to the cookie dough! Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week.
