Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Oven
  • Meat thermometer

Ingredients

For the Chicken Bryan

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil chopped
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and sear for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Transfer the chicken breasts to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • While the chicken bakes, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the softened cream cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, and lemon juice. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently until the sauce is smooth and heated through.
  • Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and place it on serving plates. Spoon the cream cheese sauce over the chicken breasts and garnish with extra basil, if desired.
  • Serve the Chicken Bryan with your favorite sides such as roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete meal!

Notes

This dish pairs perfectly with a light salad or grilled vegetables. For an added flavor boost, you can sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on top of the sauce before serving.
